Guinness Mid-strength

Guinness have produced a new version of the black stuff, with less alcohol, and are currently testing it in the pubs of Dublin. The Beer Nut suffered for the benefit of the rest of us last week and went off to try it . Read his usually reliable opinion here. Despite his comments I’ll probably be forced to try it for myself if I see it stocked anywhere, just to be sure, but hopefully they will have taken his advice by then and removed the temptation.

Michael Jackson RIP

The beer and whisky critic, overshadowed by his more famous namesake, died last Thursday of a heart attack. His commitment to both industries will be sorely missed.
